Top 8 Anime's to Rot Your Brain on During Quarantine

I’m sure we’ve all seen enough lists of what to binge-watch on Netflix while stuck at home, being quarantined during the #Covid19 crisis. Well, shameless to say, here’s another one, but with a little twist.

Here’s a lineup of really saucy, adult-themed, borderline disgusting cartoons you can rot your brains on while in quarantine because sometimes, that’s just what you need.

Paradise PD

This Netflix original animated cartoon premiered on August 30, 2018, and has gathered quite a cult following.

The premise of the story is about Kevin Crawford, who becomes a cop at the Paradise Police Department. This 18-year-old rookie and his father, Chief Randall, are in total disagreement with his career choice. Chief Randall’s ire towards his son stems from the day that a young Kevin shot the chief’s precious testicles with his gun.

Paradise PD

Episodes: Paradise PD spans 2 seasons with 18 episodes each.

Archer

An American animated sitcom, created by Adam Reed debuted on September 17, 2009. The series follows the adventures or exploits of the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), a fictional New York-based intelligence agency. The dysfunctional secret agents and staff consist of the womanizing and narcissistic protagonist, Sterling Archer, his snarky retired-agent-turned-ISIS-director mother, Malory Archer. The agency lives off of its employees and each assignment, although dangerous and daunting, is another excuse for the agency’s staff to undermine, betray, and sabotage each other for personal gain, whatever that may be.

Archer

Episodes: There are 10 seasons and a total of 110 episodes.

Rick and Morty

This American adult animated science fiction sitcom dominates late-night programs on Cartoon Network. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon created the series. It follows the misadventures of Rick Sanchez, a cynical and mad scientist, and his grandson, Morty Smith as they split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures.

The show features otherworldly crazy adventures taking place across an infinite number of realities of the members of the Smith household by traveling through portals and Rick’s special flying car.

Rick & Morty

Episodes: There are 4 seasons and 36 episodes, with the fourth season premiered last year.

Disenchantment

Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama, created this satirical fantasy as a Netflix original sitcom. The story follows the deranged, zany, and magical (and drunken) adventures of Bean, an alcoholic princess in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland with Elfo, her naive elf companion, and Luci, the princess’s personal demon.

Disenchantment

Episodes: There are 2 series with 10 episodes each.

Bojack Horseman

This animated series takes place in a world where anthropomorphic animals and humans live side by side. It tells the story of BoJack Horseman, a washed-up 90’s celeb trying to regain his relevance in the present day. The show provides a view into how BoJack turns into a self-loathing, obnoxious alcoholic, drug-addicted has-been star living his life day-by-day trying to write his autobiography as a last-ditch effort at money and fame.

Bojack Horseman

Episodes: There are 6 seasons, a total of 77 episodes.

Final Space

This comedy-sci-fi animated series involves a prisoner-turned-astronaut, Gary Goodspeed and his alien pal, Mooncake, on their intergalactic adventures to solve the mystery of the titular ‘Final Space.’ They embark on a quest to save the universe from the Lord Commander with the ship’s A.I., HUE, the Insanity Avoidance Companion robot, KVN, and a growing number of dysfunctional and insane crew members.

Final Space

Episodes: There are 2 seasons with a total of 23 episodes with a pilot premiered first on YouTube.

F is for Family

Bill Burr and Michael Price create this animated sitcom for Netflix. The show follows an Irish-Amerian family of five in the early-mid 1970s era. This dysfunctional suburban family never seems to get a break, whether from the kids, the daily lives, or those equally dysfunctional characters around them.

F is for Family

Episodes: There are 3 seasons and 26 episodes with the fourth season set to be released in 2020.

Big Mouth

An adult sitcom follows a group of seventh-graders trying to navigate through the difficulties of puberty and sex. It doesn’t help them when they have an imaginary hormone monster constantly furnishing them with the wrong advice or enticing them to masturbate at the most awkward of situations.

Throughout the series, the kids interact with different people and objects, which include a pillow that can get pregnant, a bar of Adderall, the ghost of Duke Ellington, and even Jessi’s own genitals. The characters try to provide sagel advice to the kids but often the advice leads to embarrassing and disastrous results.

Big Mouth

Episodes: There are a total of 3 seasons and 31 episodes with a possible fourth season later on in 2020 if the usual schedule holds.
