Paradise Lost

Breathing new life into Bangkok’s rooftop bar scenes

Introducing Paradise Lost, a brand new rooftop bar. The bar’s theme signifies a world on the mend, perfectly fitting with how we’re working hard to recover from the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

Paradise Lost works in close collaboration with Bootleggers Trading to give Bangkok its first experience of ecoSPIRITS, the world’s top low-carbon, low-waste spirits distribution technology. The company aims to eliminate packaging waste in the premium spirits supply chain.

The bar offers a 360-degree view of the beautiful City of Angels while boasting the exquisite work of Sonite Surfaces, whose bio-composite service accessories are crafted from up to 40% local rice husk waste. At the same time, Bope, a Chiang Mai-based team transformed discarded plastics into eye-catching and functional items.

The bar’s design is by Proof & Company, a Singapore-based company whose work supported creations of six entries in the world’s 50 Best Bars or Asia’s 50 Best Bars Lists, including 28 Hong Kong Street in Singapore. While MASH, the Australian creative agency took care of the interior design and branding. Their work included the design of Bali’s hit nightspot Motel Mexicola.

Leading the beverages department is the Head Bartender, Gabriel Lowe, a pleasant-nature man from San Francisco, creator of Black Bear in Bogata and former bar manager at Locanda, Black Cat, and The Battery in San Francisco.

Gabe Lowe

Formerly honored in Zagat’s 30 Under 30 list to honor the up-and-coming food and drink talents in the Bay Area, today he’s taking charge of all beverages creations at Paradise Lost. At the same time, the menu here comes courtesy of Chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp, the brain behind modern Thai restaurant TAAN.

Selected essential drinks everyone must try here include Static Sunset, ‘Til the Moon Sets, WWW (What We Worship), and Can’t Burn Concrete.
