When it cones to a sustainable fine dining restaurant in Bangkok, one place comes to mind … Haoma Bangkok.

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy an absolutely delicious five course meal at Haoma Bangkok during the Bangkok Restaurant Week 2018 and I had to say that Chef DK has done a grand job with all his dishes.

The First Course

The first course started with the light and rather frothy “Bubbly Burrata”. The dish serves a good-sized chunk of homemade Burrata cheese with fresh Heirloom tomatoes, Chimichuri straight from Haoma’s very own garden, Tapioca pearls and topped with tomato jam.

The Main Course(s)

There were 2 choices for the second course: a vegan and a meat-eater choice. I chose to go with the slow roasted pork belly with reconstructed blood cookie, broccoli okra and plenty of flax seeds. I’m a meat eater and that’s why I picked this dish.

However, I got to try the veggie option and Haoma does not disappoint with the Turmeric butter braised cauliflower served with dried lentills, crunchy jobs tears, French beans and very refreshing Indian yoghurt.

The Dessert(s)

Desserts, and there were three, where do I start …

First was a plate of beautifully spooned infused Panna Cotta, burnt butter, Hazelnut sponge, stone flowers (this was a surprise) and black pepper gel.

Second and third desserts were complimentary and I am more than happy to receive because they are absolutely yummy. And I got to try Aero for the first time. That was more than worth it.

Back to the desserts …

The dark chocolate pave with texture of mango and I mean everything mango. It was mango everywhere.

Finally, the super aromatic sesame Aero. Oh-so-chocolatey. Unfortunately I have no pictures for this just because the Aero chocolate disappeared too quickly. Oops. Next time maybe.

The Restaurant

Haoma is probably the first restaurant to adopt the zero-kilometer sustainable food concept in Bangkok. The urban garden is totally worth the visit and it’s also pet friendly perfect for people with fur babies.

The restaurant offers weekend brunch and can also host private events be it company events or fun-filled family or friends gatherings.
