Crazy large menus that are almost too good to share
Burger & Lobster Bangkok presents limited items on the menu but that’s not what you need to worry about when you choose to dine here. Every dish packs a kind of punch that comes with sizes and tastes.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Gaysorn Village. The retro interior decoration offers an upbeat atmosphere that perfectly paired with the the colorful abstract art on the walls and the bright Banquette sofas.
And since we are serious eaters, instead of beginning our meal with starters, we just went for the big giant, B&L Truffle Beast (B2,900). This beauty comes with a juicy 10oz cut of burger meat (beef, in this case) with succulent lobster meat sand topped with melted brie cheese, Truffle mayo, fennel and Chinese cabbage. Honestly, they could have cut the veggie and I’d still be happy but the Truffle mayo had to be the clincher. It was definitely too good to share but the sheer size of it doesn’t leave me much choice (blah).
And if that wasn’t enough, the next menu was the B&L Original Roll (B1,500). The fresh piece of lobster meat was served with creamy Japanese mayo and lemon in a bun. The smooth tasting and texture of the sauce together was absolutely satisfying.
To be honest, I would love to try Avocado Roll, not because I’m all of a sudden feel health-conscious, but because I love, love, love, love avocado but I seriously couldn’t eat any more after what I had.
The beverage list is also very promising with a selection of local to imported beers, wines and cocktails. Some of the must-try signature drinks include the Thai Affairs (B390) a perfect combination of Evan Williams Bourbon, Campari, Honeyed green tea, mint, Kaffir lime leaf, lemon, chocolate bitters; and Over The Moon (B390), a blend of Beefeater Gin, strawberry, Pimms, rose, cucumber, lemon and fizz. Great way to chill after such a gigantic meal to digest for sure.
